Can Kids born to siblings have different forms of CAH? Jan. 28th, 2005 7:46am
I have also posted this thread on the US site but I want some Aussie input. My have son is SWCAH so obviously both my husband and I have the mutant gene to make SWCAH. Can my sister's children have LOCAH? If my sister is also a carrier and her husband who is unrelated have the defective gene to make LOCAH? Or does everyone in the family tree have to have SWCAH? The reason we ask is he is displaying alot of CAH symptons or even similar to addisons, he is 12 so of course he wouldn't have SWCAH (we wouldn't have him) so could this be it? She is asking the doctor on Tuesday whether he can get him tested but I/m just wondering what you all think? Thanks
