Dear Lisa,

Just as something to think about, depending on the severity of SW it is possible for the body to compensate to some degree and survive.  I am SW and was diagnosed at 5 years of age with an older sibling (7) being diagnosed at the same time.  We had managed to survive without treatment to that point as obviously we were not severe SW's.  As Linda said, there are always individual's differing responses to both CAH and treatment to take into  consideration.
