How horrifying, I was in shock to read this but also sort of laughed at how these things seem to happen to you. As I was reading this I was thinking back to when your car rolled down the driveway over the letterbox. I think you should print a book of your personal disasters.
It must be horrible staying in the hotel and working out what things are not ruined from the fire/water/smoke. I can't imagine your house having so much disaster, that would definately push the threshhold of requiring a stress dose that day. You've painted a great picture of ambulance men walking up the driveway looking at you shooting up. What a terrible stress for you guys after the whole workload of the conference etc. I hope your house is back up and running really quickly. We have had great experiences with our insurance company so I hope you find the process as easy as we have in the past.
