Tonight denotes one week since the fire and after being in a motel for seven nights we are going into a serviced apartment today so will have our own cooking facilities which will make it much easier.
All the other stuff for contents claims and house insurance are rolling on slowly as they do, and I suspect it could be a couple of months before we are back in our house. Once the cleaning crew (contents) have been in we can take anything we like with us but at the moment everything is covered in black fall-out ash. Fortunately we lost no photos or anything of significant sentimental value.
We are so please that our insurance policy was upgraded last year so check your insurance policies everyone and keep them maxed up, as apart from the inconvenience of the fire and not being able to live here they are doing everything for us.
