Hi Linda and Fiona,
I have to admit that given the slant on the programme and the problems encountered with people and their trouble with sexuality issues etc that I was actually somewhat pleased that it did not encompass CAH within the scope of the programme.
I mean realistically, even though CAH children and young adults/mature adults may have hormonal issues and may initially have sexual physical ambiguity in severe cases, there is never really a question medically of what sex they are. With the right diagnostic tools it is quickly ascertained that a girl is a girl and that everything that should be there is and it is merely a matter of the outside reflecting everything else.
I apologise if some of my statements seem a little broad as well, I understand the situation with AIS but I am also working with a pregnant mind on what I can recall from a month ago.
Regards
Lilea
