re: Surgery in Adulthood
May. 4th, 2006   1:20am

Hi Anna,

There are varying results in surgery depending on how complex the individual's surgery was and by who they had the surgery done by.  Particularly the further back you go in years the percentage of satisfied individuals is a little lower than more recent years.

Dr Borzi in Brisbane is spoken of very highly, I don't have his details on hand but I'll try to track them down if someone else doesn't post a message soon with his details.

Prof. John Hutson in Melbourne has extensive experience in corrective surgeries.  He has done alot of follow up surgery where the outcome's haven't been fully successful, if travelling is an option to consider.

You may also like to speak with some adults in the CAH Support Grp Australia, feel free to email me at lindapowell@optusnet.com.au and I can put you in touch with our Adult Co-ordinator.

Best wishes

Linda
