Hi CKL
There are different answer's on that one. In theory you don't need to increase the cortisone for vaccine's. I personally gave a double dose of cortisone the morning of my children getting a vaccination when they were babies because I wanted to be sure I was keeping them covered.
The high temperature etc are side effects that may or may not happen. I would assume a Dr would say no extra cortisone is required unless they show signs of sickness after the vaccination.
On the flip side, giving a double dose isn't harmful aslong as you are not 'stress dosing' regularly. I would go with your gut feeling and often if they have had previous vaccinations you can use that as a guide as to how your children will respond to vaccinations.
I'm interested to know what other parents/adults think about this one?
Regards
Linda
