re: FTM with possible CAH- doctors wont listen
Jun. 13th, 2006   1:37pm

Dear David,

I hope by now that some of your situation has worked out for you.

Rosalie definitely gave you good advice to follow.  Discuss the situation with your GP, or find one that is good and you can relate to, get a referral to an Endocrinologist and go from there.

At the very least, being able to discuss your concerns with a qualified physician who can also get copies of your medical records from birth to clarify the situation your Mother has discussed, may assist in alleviating some of the confusion surrounding your physical state and its effects on you psychologically and emotionally.

As Rosalie mentioned, there is not only CAH, but numerous conditions that people encounter and may live without full knowledge of, affecting their outlooks and physical health.

I would be interested to know whether you have managed to find someone who will address the issues you have raised and alleviate your concerns by further investigations.

Lilea
