Sarah - We have our Hysone made up into a syrup suspension which alot of people object to, however for us is the most convenient (especially when she is in someone elses care).  Originally it only had a shelf life of 1month, but Pharmacy has done further study and this has increased to 3months.  Our daughter is now 15 mths and has always taken her meds at 10pm in her sleep with no problem.  I have since her birth repeatedly checked with our Paed that the suspension is o.k due to the sugar content and he assures me it is.  I understand your dilema - our daughter gagged alot but since changing to suspension we havn't looked back. If you'd like to discuss this further you can email me on kelster@iprimus.com.au - Good luck

Kell
