re: Hospital trips
Oct. 6th, 2006   3:46pm

Hi,

My girl is 2.5 years now ( SWCAH ) and we had the opportunity to consult a Peads. Endo ( he deals with lots of CAH patients ) reagarding your concerns. As excessive vomiting is definately a concern, triple dosing the child asap is about the most sensible thing to do. We have been advised that an intra mascular jab of hydrocortisone may sometimes be neccessary when the vomiting bouts seem " so near apart ". I dont know how far you live from the nearest hospital but learning how to adminsister the jabs is all part of CAH management.

Jenni's response is definately a very good guide in response to your query.

Best regards.

CB
