I am not angry with you or anyone with CAH, it's the ppl who don't listen or think they know what's happening. Bit like getting out an instruction book and telling someone how to drive a car - I don't think so! It's bad luck re our parents really, don't they think they are fantastic and God's gift?
Yes, blame the dex! Try to get off it and onto hysone quickly. If your endo won't listen try someone else. Also don't forget abt a psych. I'm on vallium for anxiety which is quite reasonable for someone with a faulty adrenal gland. Depression is also an obvious outcome. I'm not trying to be rude, it's just the internet is difficult to pass on emotional responses.
Here's one of my arguments with a plastic surgeon, a locum visiting from NZ and claiming to do clitoral restorations. Gray's Anatomy (the text book, not the TV show:)) is WRONG!! There are only abt 2 sentences on the clitoris and little has been done to update this section of information used for Anatomy by med students. It was published around 1906 and there were only 3 females used to provide information on the clitoris. One was an infant, I think, another was a female prisoner whose body was used for research and I forget who the other female was.
I have documented evidence on new research done by Dr Helen O'Connor (around 2000), a urologist in Melbourne. Her work has been published in the Journal of Urology in the USA but not Oz! The clitoris is not a small organ but is as large as a human fist. Helen's work seems to have been overlooked and it is a medical text.
As I said I went to see this Plastics person. Before he started, I asked if I could explain the operation he would perform. I had watched Good Medicine on TV the week before (karma) and explained a plastics procedure presented there for the extension of a penis. He said Yes, that was the op he proposed to do, I said he was wrong and pushed Helen O'Connor's published work over the table for him to look at. He did not even open it, yet he was prepared to operate on me with only 2 such ops done by him, one successful, the other not and nothing published. Howzat for arrogance?
Oh yes, sorry abt the spelling mistakes etc and I am being as honest with you as I can as no-one else seems to be helping, I mean the endos and not anyone on this Board. Re lack of info, I said to psych "Do the endos think I have a "beam of information coming from another galaxy advising me of the latest" as they do not pass on info." Wonder how else you're supposed to know? If CAH was money, I wouldn't go to a casino, I'd just throw it out the window as the information you are told abt it is worthless.
Re feeling "up", yes that's great, but may be a form of depression, eg BiPolar. You'll need to get this assessed (oh yes, and watch out for psychosis too). Went to Noosa for holidays abt 3weeks ago. Felt great, I mean really good. I was out shopping for 4 1/2 hours and my husband called the hospitals to check if I'd been admitted for CAH and then put in a report to the police. He was half right, I was having a great time but became dehydrated and couldn't find anything to drink, yet was soaking wet from tropical-like torrential rain. Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink! Fancy being reported to the police for shopping?
