re: TMJ, TMD, TMJD etc (Jaw Joints)
Oct. 11th, 2006   12:53am

Well I wouldn't be surprised if Dexa (and) anger have something to do with this. I do know that for myself I had flare ups each time after I had surgery. I thought it had something to do with the intubation, but could be the higher than normal doses of steroid I had to take to cover the surgeries. I always thought I was getting an ear infection. I did get TMJ for a while after I had a wreck too. My jaws click when I open my mouth wide. Anyway I don't want to talk it up...but it hasn't happened in a long time. I have waken up to hearing myself grind my teeth.

Anyway I find this interesting too. But what about the folks that don't take Dex or have cah that do have tmj?

My old boss was crazy crazy crazy, and had serious mood swings, I never knew what kind of a mood she was gonna be in. She herself had TMJ and had to wear this thing in her mouth too, sometimes she wore it in the day cause she would get headaches. I could just see her clenching her teeth in her sleep, cursing everyobody out in her dreams!! LOL
