Yr reply is interesting in that yr symptoms re TMJ seem to occur with higher doses of steroids. I am hoping that meds are the answer.
As far as ppl who have TMJ without our problems are concerned, I'm not that interested, sorry but I'm not, unless they have found a solution. I have read that most of the ppl with this problem are female and that abt 80% recover from it.
The only use the prosthd was that I had to disprove everything he said. His information has always been wrong. If he is a world-wide expert on this then I am too!! It worries me enormously that he says it can't be cured and he is a lecturer at university on this topic. He is telling the next generation of dentists that this cannot be cured. I said to Malcolm, I'm going to set up a stand outside his rooms with a sign saying "Ask here for TMJ info at only $90/20mins". I've had it with this prosthd!!
I am looking at this Board to gather any info I can and also save you the time and $s I've spent trying to work this out. And I will!!! I'm not giving up.
Btw was just speaking to a friend re an article I found today from Dr Richard Stanhope in the UK: "CAH is one of the worst managed conditions in paediatric endocrinology. B/c this is a life long condition similar comments apply to the adult endocrinology. Why, when it is fairly simple to understand the condition, are pts treated inappropriately?"!!!!! (try www.uk.yahoo.com/ and perhaps just put his name in yr browser)
At last, an endo who has given CAH some consideration!! I'm going outside now to look at the flying pigs that just went by:-)
