i have 2 girls, 8 and 12 with sw Cah. wanting any information regarding periods. my 12 year old has just started her first period. i know it is a bit soon but has anyone experienced problems using meds, and with period pains. my daughter did not get any pains but when i was younger i had very bad pains to the point where i would faint from the pain. both my kids had the surgery. also my 8 year old has quite a temper that she can not control, which she has had since a very early age. my 8 year old is growing slowly and is a bit plump where as my 12 year old is slender and a good height. both my kids are tomboys especially my 8 year old she is in to cars, skateboarding etc. they are definatally not into girly things, which dosnt bother me but i have heard that cah kids can quite often be tomboys. my kids dont get sick as often now, and i can usually tell the signs. i have the hydrocortisone injections at home that i give to them when they are sick, and i also give my 12 year old finger pricks every 3 months so her doctor can check she is getting the right does of medication. my 8 year old is terrified of needles, so that can be diffucult. my 12 year old takes 2 and a half hydrocort tablets and half fludro in the morning and 4 and a half hydrocort and half fludro at night. my 8 year old is on one hydrocort and half fludro in morning and 2 and a half hydrocort and half fludro and night. i would be gratefull for any information i can get.
