Looking for Frali
Mar. 6th, 2007   8:25am

Hi

I read one of your posts on the main board - I only got on to this site yesterday and the terms of my search for this site are stated in the controversy site under the surgery issue - if you are interested.

.....but my main reason for getting hold of you is your positivity about the condition, I have always brought my daughter up believing that if I treated her "normally" she would be normal - she is a sensitive young 15 year old so since she was born I have let on a little each year about her condition - she has now come to me and told me that she is gay so yesterday I gave here everything - I told her everything, maybe a lot to late.  She has always wondered why she felt so different - I always told here everyone feels different at some stage even "normal" people - believe me take it from a "normal" person.

I want to get her on to this site but I need a drawing card - and I think you are it - we do have support groups in South Africa, but South African not accept South African when they are "normal" so these kids really battle - sexuality is a taboo in most homes and our different cultures and ethnic groups treat sexuality is different ways.  My husband (not her father) is a SA Afrikaner and they are extremely conservative and narrow minded.

Please could you give me an idea of how to get her to open up to this site and people that are going through the same as her - I try but I don't always understand I know that.  Please don't tell her to have a drink even though I some times need one to cope with what she is going through.

A mom in need, but always I hope a mom in deed!
