Hi iris,
I've been on Spirolactone for about 3 years now. When i first started it my period did increase in duration too but only by a day or two (it's now about 7 or 8 days). I don't know if that's normal, sorry, but it's been like that for me for 3 years now and i've had no further probs. Hope that helps?
