re: re:Convulsions - due to low blood sugar Sep. 12th, 2007 4:20pm
Hi,
My gal is 3yrs 2 months and has SWCAH. We rae from SE Asia.
No, she has never had a convulsion but with reference to all the other postings " due to low blood sugar ", just thought that I would like to share that the last dose for my gal is around 11.30 pm - 12 midnight. However, her hydrocort dose is given in syrup form which is glucose ( sugar based ). I must say here that since she was diagnosed at 3 weeks, she has been given her hysone in this form though we have been told that this s NOT the ideal manner as some of the hysone will stick to the walls of the syringe.
Just wondering if the syrup form did help in any way to circumvent a " low blood sugar " situation ? Blood tests have shown that her blood sugar levels have been within teh acceptable range.
