re: A question for Annalise

Hi,

For special consideration with any of the formal exams - in my case the HSC (Sydney) - I had to apply through the Department of Education. Each school should have forms concerning, misadventures and other exam difficulties such as Disabilities. The 'Board of Studies' may have the documents online, but I'm not posotive. In filling out the forms however, you need to get a medical professional (preferably Endo) to fill it out stating what the 'disability' is and how it may affect an individual during exams........I never applied for 'special provisions' becase I thougt CAH as a disability - rather I was advised by the school that it was better to let the department know incase I did fall ill, and therefore would have had to prove that I was sick afterwards. But I pretty much got extra time to 'rest' and de-stress, and I did my exams in a room by myself. I can't say that it was that useful. The exams I did better in were the ones where I decided that I didn't want to take up the extra provisions because I enjoyed the company.....

Hope that helps....

Take Care, and goodluck to your son!

Annalise
