re: am i the only one to have dramas with centre link/ carers allowance?
Feb. 12th, 2008   10:29pm

Hi my names Barbara I have two daughters with the sever form of CAH,  i have always worked two jobs until i had Alexandra 11 yrs ago, i tried to go back to work and put my daughter in care but unfortunatly the school continually forgot to medicate my girls so i had to quit work and be a stay at home mum even though my girls by this stage were both at school, this is not how i want to live but it has been this way for some time i dont get a choice and my girls dont get a choice but unfortunatly centrelink do not see it that way and has refused any kind of help, when medicating two children with both tablets that gets very costly all i wanted was a health care card to cut down the expense why should our children be born with a price tag just to stay alive this is not fare and how do you explain that to your children that they just have to except it,  when a single parent can get a health care card for a totally healthy child i dont get it.
