Not all women with NCCAH need to take glucocorticoids. Some do just fine on regular birth control pills. Some doctors are using Metformin with or without a BCP. Another treatment regimen is BCP and anti-androgen medications.
Many women, the symptoms seem to diminish after 40 (so why fix something thats not broken).
