I think you went to an  adult endocrinologist in the UK who is not experienced in all aspects of CAH.  As I said before, Dexamethasone does not sound as if it was the right treatment for you and as Ester mentioned, maybe no glucocorticoid (steroid) was actually required.  Anti-androgens are often used by knowledgable endocrinologists for CAH and available on the NHS.  If you want a referral to a good clinic, just e-mail me.
