re: CAH & Male Fertility
Feb. 3rd, 2004   11:09am
Hi Andrew, Sorry to hear about your experience.  Fertility can become a problem in males, especially if the treatment for their CAH is not well monitored.  Testicular tumours can also result but these are very rarely cancerous but they can affect sperm production. Are you receiving care from an endocrinologist in the UK?  If not, I strongly advise you to get a referral to a specialist centre as it is possible to treat both tumours and fertility problems in most cases.  If you let me know whereabouts you live in the UK, I can suggest a consultant for the referral.  Don't give up on that family just yet!
Sue
