Catherine

I have just been to see my daughter's consultant and have been doing some reading.  My main concern is the lack of knowledge of any long term effects and that it would only be benefiting 1 in 8 children.  My daughter has not had surgery and i really don't have any problems with the virilisation or her having CAH, however the question has been raised about the effects of the excess androgens in the womb on an affected girl.  My understanding is that the adult women today who are having difficulties with physical relationships is because of surgery during infancy.  How did you finally come to your decision.  I am not too worried about side effects for me I just want to do what is best for a future child.
