Northern Ireland..Adrenal surgery is a sucess!!! Oct. 27th, 2004 12:48am
Hi, just to let you know my 23 yr old SWCAH daughter has had her adrenals out by multiply keyhole surgery a month ago in the RVH and is doing very well now.
She is back driving her car for a week and will prob. go back to work in a few weeks.She is out at night with her friends too. This has been the right decision for her and she is now getting on with her life and looking forward to christmas and starting back with her sporting career in the new year.
her tablets have changed from prednisolone to hydyocortisone ,which she had been on when she was younger,she is very good at taking it and has her watch alarm set for twice a day. so far so good thank God. We cannot praise the surgeons enough for their skill and the excellant work they did..Aftercare,..she can double up her med. if sick or can get adrenal injection if very poorly by her doctor.
