It only tends to be when given too high a dose of hydrocortisone that weight is gained, a low dose, shouldn't cause problems with weight. I agree with the other two suggestions though, maybe the timing or distribution could be improved. Splitting from 2 doses to 3 a day may help (a smaller dose more often can be more effective - same as they suggest with food on some diets!). Also are you a salt loser and if so have you had a renin test to check your fludrocortisone dose? You may be retaining too much fluid if on the wrong dose of this.
