HI Ash, My name is Corinna and I have salt losing CAH as well. I am a 24 year old female who also suffers from a weight problem, so I know exactly how you feel. I was diagnosed at birth and as I grew up the weight started piling on. When I was your age my dose was sorted out and I funny enough went to a weight loss camp in America. I went from weighing 15 stone to weighing 8 1/2 stone. I would go to this camp every summer for 6 weeks so it took time, but I felt great when I lost all my weight. The as I got older my dose was needing to be changed constantly because I suddenly started to put on weight again. It happens. I am no longer the 8 1/2 stone that I was and I am heavy again. I hate it! I have had blood profiles and have had my dose changed to now the lowest possible and it is still not working for me. Be careful with what you do because you could actually make matters worse for yourself. When I was your age I was on 42.5 mg of hydrocortisone a day and 1 fludrocortisone in the morning time and I lost weight with the help of the camp. Now at 24 I am on 10 mg a day of hydrocortisone and 1/2 florinef in the morning and 1/2 at night, is it working? No it's not. I still have weight problem and I go to the gym 3 times a week and I eat healthy, so don't think that lowering your dose could help because females are different than boys you know. I live in London as well. Well south London in Carshalton and I see a specialist at St. Georges but because she is having no luck with my weight loss and trust me they have tried everything they are now refering me to the top endocrinologist in Middlesex Hospital to help me out. Keep faith in yourself and don't change your dose on your own, I have done it myself because I thought the way you did and I became very ill and unhappy from it. I hope my advice helps and good luck!!!!!!!!!!
