Hi Becky, Sorry to hear you are feeling so down. I agree with the above post, that you must go back and talk to your endocrinologist. I know you are under an excellent doctor in London (I have read your story on another website) and that you have had an adrenalectomy. Has your doctor mentioned the possibility of prescribing DHEA to you? This is not available in the UK over the counter and can only be obtained via a private prescription but some people who have obtained it have said that it has made a big difference to their lives. DHEA is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands (so of course you won't be producing any of this now). It used to be thought of as of little consequence but more recently trials have described it as the 'feel good' hormone. I am not saying this is a wonder drug or even that it will be the answer to your problems but it could help. Has your CAH remained under good control otherwise, since the adrenalectomy?
Also at the hospital you go to there is an excellent psychology team who it may help you to see in order that you can talk through why you feel so bad. They see a lot of the adults with CAH and understand the problems you face and may be able to offer you some good advice.
Hang in there (I am off on holiday now for a week but will check the board when I get home and hope to hear that you are feeling a bit better).
Take care
