Sorry about the cancer and thyroid I hope you get better. I've been pot free for about 6 years now and in that time got married had a daughter and gone to university. A very quick turnaround. After training in 2 years I want to take my family to disney world as a treat for 3 years of being broke. I have put a request for male contacts on the main board but no luck yet and i'll be surprised if anyone comes forward. Maybe they did try their best and I'm happy today's kids are treated better but in alot of cases the photos still go on. Go in to any major bookstore and look at the medical section and you will know what I mean. Do parents know their childs genitals are on display to the world. And what about the perverts who may buy these books. The cah groups should be pressureising the governments to have this banned. and to stop Doctors having their own collections for conferences etc. There the ones that don't have any feelings for patients just products of the medial world. New doctors I've come across seem more human sharing a laugh etc. so there is hope. I've been told I'm quite empathic as a male carer. I work with kids with learning disabiblities on respite as well as training I love it. the laughs jokes etc everyone a character in their own way. But their are tragic cases like victims of dodgy immunisations and  parents having Munchausans syndrome leaving the child in a vegatative state.

My endo has refered me to a phychologist shame about the waiting list. opening up has helped and thanks so much for replying. I do get jealous of todays kids. And the contacts that are available. We had nothing just a childhood of loneliness but that's how it goes. In time the pain will go I'm closer now then ever especially as my placements are in hospitals etc. I've come along way and I've now my daughter to think about and the questions that one day she will ask

"Daddy why are you taking tablets?"

I will be open it's only fair. My parents tried and my G.P tried their best and hopefully the results are beginning to show It's time to move on. I'm soon having my first dexa scan my bones do seem to be cracking a lot and I see a chiropractic for my back. I hope it's not bad.

Anyway my email is ianfairbrother@blueyonder.co.uk

I hope it sheds some light on the experiance of a male.

Keep in touch

Ian
