re: re: Lack of Weight Gain
Apr. 30th, 2006   12:00am

my little girl gas swcah and has gained weight very slowly since day 1.

she was born 7lb 10oz and at 12 months she was 13lb

she is now 18 months and is about 18lb

no one seems to know why and i go through different moods about it all the time.

she is walking now and is the cutest little thing, but she doesn't look old enough to be doing the 'toddler' type things that she is

even at playgroups i worry, because she is half the size of kids 6 months younger than her

as far as i know all blood tests have been fine but dosages remained the same from birth - 15mths. only then did the hydro get upped by 50% in the morning and evening.  she is on 1 and1/2 fludro tablets a day

does this sound right to you?

also, we were given a little machine when she 1st got diagnosed to test her blood sugar if we thought it was low, but we are unsure when and how to use it and haven't done so yet - any thoughts/ ideas/ stories?? are our kids more prone to diabetes? what has sugar levels got to do with salt levels?

sorry if i'm just being thick!

kate
