re: new to the site, daughter with cah just changed to adult endos, not sure if likes new consultant , Sep. 18th, 2006 3:20pm
Hi Susan, My son (who is 18) has also now left his paediatric endocrinologist, which we felt was pretty sad, having built up a good relationship over the years. We are waiting with anticipation for his first appointment (in December) with the new adult consultant. I have to admit though, that if my son doesn't like the new guy, we will see about going elsewhere but we will give him a fighting chance! Which hospital does your daughter attend? Adult clinics can be very different to paediatric ones but there are some very good centres providing multi-disciplinary care for patients with CAH around the Country - if your daughter is not already in one of these, she could request a transfer?
