Sue, it was also suggested my son had adrenalectomy and he was then his doctor Professor Peter Hindmarsh came up with the idea of adapting a diabetic pump to slowly and continuously infuse hydrocortisone at a rate which mimics that of a normal person. Before this, they could not get his CAH under control. He is now 18, still growing and no longer battles with his weight. I am not saying this is the answer for your daughter but there are other things to be tried before an adrenalectomy if you are not happy about this. Hopefully this new doctor and his ideas will really help your daughter. Good luck. KathyG
