hello newy I managed to get DLA for our daughter who is now 7. I only heard about DLA when she was about 5 and filled in the long forms then. They are quite an effort! One of the things that I think made a difference, is that we give our daughter her night-time hydrocortisone at 2am every night - the research and practice in the US seems to indicate that this gives the best results in terms of preventing 17ohp build up. Since we have been doing this, her blood results are fantastic and we have even reduced her doses. Anyway as you can imagine, getting up and getting her to take the meds takes a while each night, and she often used to wet the bed too, so maybe these things swung the decision in our favour. I think that you just have to try and emphasise how much time the CAH side of looking after your child takes up. Good luck!
