Hi Sheila,  No, there is no way your son could have been 'cured' of CAH.  His levels  can be returned to 'normal' with medication but if he was diagnosed correctly, he will have CAH for life (unless of course a cure is found in the future!)

A few years ago there was some doubt as to my son's diagnosis too as his blood tests showed undetectable levels of 17OHP (virtually unknown in patients with CAH), even when off his tablets and with ACTH stimulation tests but this was due to oversuppression of the adrenal glands and DNA tests proved conclusively that the original diagnosis of CAH was correct.
