Hi Lisa, I agree with Anon, there could be a connection to CAH and your step daughter needs to see someone with experience in this condition.  Did she have genital surgery as a young girl?  There may be a weakness there that needs investigating (this is quite common) but her medication needs checking as well, to see whether this could be a contributory factor.  Ideally therefore she needs to be referred to a multi-disciplinary centre, which has expertise in all issues connected to CAH ( including an endocrinologist, gynaecologist/urologist/psychologist/endocrine nurse etc) so that she can be properly assessed.   I am sure they will be able to help and reassure her, as she shouldn't be left to suffer any longer.  If you let me know whereabouts in the Country you live, I will point you in the direction of the nearest hospital and the doctors name, so that you can ask her GP for a referral.   I can be contacted via the UK website - www.cah.org.uk

Sue
