I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. My son Eden, 9 months, has SWCAH and is currently taking 4.5ml of sodium chloride 30% 3 times a day. As you can imagine it tastes disgusting and he will only take it in 4+oz of milk. I am trying to wean him onto solids but this is proving difficult as if i give him solids he won't drink his milk. He starts nursery 3 days a week next week (boohoo!) and they are quite keen to start him having lunch (though no rush!). At the moment i give him breakfast and tea inbetween his medicine times. Has anyone got any ideas how we can start giving him lunch but still give him the sodium? Or let me know what you have done with your babies. Perhaps it is just a case of no lunch until they are off the salt.
Also i was wondering if anyone could tell me about there experiences of second pregnancies. When we first had Eden i was adament i was never going through this again, but 9 months later and 2 whole months without a hospital admission, it doesn't seem so bad! We are going to start thinking about a second next year, so i was wondering if anyone had an opnion on taking the steriods that are on offer when pregnant, and what the processes are etc. I know the docs will explain, it is just sometimes nice to hear it first hand.
