re: re: Mum's with CAH - I need help
Nov. 18th, 2007   8:21pm

Although I don't have salt-wasting CAH, I do have CAH and a 6 yr old daughter.  I'm not sure if there are any big problems as a result of CAH.  There are mothers I know with more problems as a result of other medical conditions/complications with pregnancies, premature births etc. I had to have a caesarian and I've been told there is a higher rate of C-sections with CAH mothers. I've also been told that mothers with CAH need to pay a lot more attention to the advice on rest/relaxation, so maybe plan carefully to avoid going back to work for a while, line up babysitters, regular time off for yourself etc.

You're lucky to be pregnant too - not so easy for CAH mothers ! Enjoy your baby as they soon grow up

Lisa
