Dear Dr Alvi

We certainly don't consider your message as an intrusion of this messageboard as it is always encouraging to hear from specialists with an interest in CAH, who take the time and trouble to read posts from patients, let alone respond to them!

As a representative of the UK CAH support group, I was of course aware of your expertise, which is why I had not hesitation in recommending that Emma request a transfer to your care.  We may not have met but I did know your predecessor Dr Butler and  Dr Buckler before him and can confirm that Leeds is an excellent multi-disciplinary centre for CAH and therefore patients in that area are fortunate to receive good all round care.

Thank you for clarifying your position and confirming support group recommendations - that all patients with CAH deserve good specialist care!

Best wishes

Sue
