I thought I would start a new thread instead of having to find it further down the pages.
I'm replying to Jaymie's comments regarding her surgery (next page down). I would like to say thank you for your personal and uplifting comments. I am one of those mothers who have chosen surgery for my daughter for the exact reasons you say. Our thoughts were exactly how you feel when we decided on surgery. We hope she will be glad (like yourself) that we made the decision for her. I know there are many out there who disagree and I don't really want to go into that debate again. I just wanted to say it was good to hear from an older person who has gone through with the surgery and who is glad that her parents made that choice. It's also good to hear that Jaymie recognises that it's not perfect but also appreciates surgery has gotten better since her days as a child. We can only hope that our child will understand and be glad of our decision.
