Timid......I know you are trying to excell at being a science wiz .............. But our childrens health and CAH related issues are not open to the general public for a science project or research for your own quirk of interest. My child / grandchild Betsy is of NO concern to you and how WE post our decisions for surgery is not done to make your STUDIES ??????? more RIGHT and ours is AGAIN all so WRONG. Contrary to what either of you believe.....WE as PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS have enough on our plates of life without your drawn conclusions that our whole childrens life is based on what is wrong or right with there genitals and how wacked out there hormones will make them. Betsy... all of your studies mention mutilation of these children and NEVER have I heard a positive spin on the parenting of CAH children. Nights in the emergency rooms/ fear of adrenal crisis at any given illness. WHY? Your Title is as it is BODIES LIKE OURS.......... BODIES being the keyword here. My grandchild is much more than a body...... she has spirit /heart/ humor/and a bright young mind to fill with positive experiences in life. I can only hope and pray that she continues to grow and do well with CAH and ignore the negative sites and sides to this disorder. There are more important things in ones life than your genitals and your sexual preference. Amazing how you start talking about one end or the other and lose all focus on everything between. I will defend MY CHOICES for a child UNTIL she is considered a legal adult and can make them for herself. THIS IS THE WAY PARENTING WORKS! When you start throwing grown up life long decisions at a CHILD that does not have the mental skills to adapt . You are going to look at one screwed up kid (my professional parenting opinion) Based on MY studies of 35 years and two grown children. While I do admire some of your more educational posts I sometimes think you are just not experienced enough in the REAL art of parenting to make some of your judgement calls.

My opinion of someone who found looking at congenital deformities as a source of entertainment is VERY scary .....to say the least. You say you have children........next time you take a big old gander of ambiguious genitalia. Ask yourself what if it was YOUR infant or childs photo someone was viewing out of curiousity. I personally think you could use some deep therapy as I feel this borders on child porn for you ! (just my opinion) I hope and pray I am wrong ...but you sent the flags up ! If you are trully interested in CAH you would be asking more educational questions and talking less about the photo's you have viewed.
