Perhaps Dr. Baskins definition of an intersex condition differs from yours, Besty. There is certainly a lot of debate about CAH being an intersex condition or not just on this board- certainly there is just as much controversy out in the medical world as well. Yes, the man has done a ton of genital surgeries but when he said he did just one intersex surgery a year perhaps he is correct, albeit using his definition of intersex, not yours.
I think you are just as guiltly as creating sensationalism around a topic as some of these reporters we rebuff for coming here looking for a story. I think it is good to be passionate about something you believe in, but becoming a zealot and charging blindly forward without regard for how other people feel about this topic somewhat alienates you from the people you are trying to help. I commend you for your passion to educate, but your 'spin' on things is occasionally over the top.
