when the media gives out the wrong/ sensationalised meaning of the condition, this does more damage than ever.

How does it do more damage? 

How does surgery cause less damage if it is medically unnecessary?  How does raising awareness of the damage unnecessary surgery can cause compare to the technology that the medical, life-saving advances in regards to CAH compare?  By that, I mean newborn testing.  I don't think anyone is advocating against that.

How does not not sharing that information cause damage?  To whom does it cause damage to and how and how does not sharing that information benefit?
