Given this, I am not sure how you can be so dismissive of the surgery that was performed on these children or imply that surgery was done merely to assign gender.  There are obviously some pretty serious functional considerations driving the need for surgery in these children. 
 
I wasn't being dismissive of the surgery to correct to functional defect as it is medically necessary.  I was being dismissive of trying to raise boys with it as girls.  It doesn't work according to the research of Bill Reiner.  
 
Once again---there is a huge failure to understand the differences between medically necessary surgery and that which is done for social reasons.
