Betsy,

You've said many times that you are not against genital surgery for medical reasons...only cosmetic  surgery.  As I mentioned in my post below, it seems to me that at least two out of three of the surgical procedures that are done in patients with CAH are, in fact, for medical reasons...not cosmetic  (the labioplasty and vaginoplasty.)  In some cases, such as a girl who is a Prader 5, I can also see where clitoroplasty might also be considered medical rather than cosmetic, in order to separate the urinary tract from the vaginal tract.  So, wouldn't it really be a very small minority of cases where surgery is only done for "looks?"  Yet, in reading most of your posts, it would be easy to get the impression that you think just about all genital surgery is cosmetic.
