re: re: Question to parents and grandparents? Mar. 3rd, 2005 12:56pm
Dana,
I am sure most people on this board KNOW how passionate I am about protecting my Granddaughter from being dishonored in the attacks of people who post negative or false staements about CAH and the surgery issues. BUT .. this is a controversy board so I suppose we have to listen to the GOOD .......BAD and the UGLY! My motto is ignorance breeds ignorance read the negatives and move on.
My life is just too full to let a post upset me emotionally. Although I like to have the chance to respond to some of Betsys posts I TRY not to think I am attacking her as a person. She is who she is and what we say will never change her views or her cause. I just keep pointing out that she is NOT a parent and has no idea what she is talking about when it comes to OUR decision on what we want for our children. I have found that most people who DON"T have children are the ones that have this idealistic utopia of a world built for them in there minds. The REAL parents KNOW this does not exist and we continue our style of parenting that fits OUR childs needs the best. Betsy Is Betsy.........don't let her get to you because that is power for her and she dwells on this as most people do. I find solace after reading negatives on the board that I can turn the computer off and go climb in bed with my beautiful Granddaughter and watch her sleep and dream of all the great things in life I am going to help her acheive. WITHOUT ANYONES input and especially someone on the internet. We are the PARENTS and WE control what path of life they choose from our teachings. I have learned that everyone has a voice and you can always learn from others. I learned from Betsy how to not engage in personal attacks and how to keep the direction of my posts on the subject at hand and not the poster who is looking for a response to boost there power or sense of belonging. I agree with all of your posts and value your opinion on the board! Sincerely,
