re: Right idea...wrong tack
Mar. 4th, 2005   4:20pm

I think the confusion comes from what is the stated agenda, and what is the real agenda for the various groups. Take the current Gucker/Gannon Gate thing (see herehere,  here, here and here for a quick synopsis) so far I haven't heard anything from any of the usual crowd of homosexual activist groups defending the guy. Same thing with Mary Chaney. Most people still have never heard about the homosexual activist leader who was arrested after trying to extort money from Celestial Seasoning, which is headquartered in Colorado. They'd been shaking down various business after the passage of Colorado's Proposition 2, demanding opposition to the proposition as well as financial backing or they'd be boycotted. The CEO of Celestial Seasoning would have nothing to do with it and called the District Attorney. CS didn't support or oppose the proposition. Their position was and is that they are artisans, and politics is not something they want to be involved in.

I doubt many homosexuals would have approved of the activist group's methods, and few would ever have known about it, if CS hadn't had the integrity to end it.

Ann Coulter's latest column also touches on the subject.

Danny Carlton
