Congratulations Aimee . Sober for three years is indeed something to be very proud of. My Brother has been sober for 15 years and his life has changed very much. Coming from parents who were alcoholics I have aways had to watch my intake and know that I battle with the booze demons. Fortunately with age comes the reality that you can no longer drink with out having MAJOR hangovers. When the hangover last longer than the buzz........BINGO time to stop. Also since getting Mitzi we stopped drinking in case she needed to go to the hospital........now how bad would that be (grandparents TOO wasted to drive to hospital) or worse getting stopped with a DUI. So I have been sober since Mitzi came into my life with the exception of a few glasses of wine at dinner when we go out. (Mitzi is at the sitters)
So other than fighting the chemical imbalance and depression with my friend Mr. Prozac. I think I am going to do OK. Now I am in the process of getting approval for my weight loss surgery. It is like pulling teeth from the other end! LOL But I am keeping positive and forging ahead to get this surgery and become a better parent (more active) with my baby. I think the weight has a lot to do with my depression. I just hope that I continue in my path of doing the best I can for her. My goal is to do better second time around (parenting). Have a great week and congrats on the sobriety! You amaze me ! Cherry
