I also admire you Amiee. Like I said I wish sometimes you were here with me for my grandson. I admire everyone that has the willpower or whatever it takes to overcome the addiction! I have never had a problem with drugs or alcohol. I'm the straight and narrow. Never really had fun. I was boring. Anyway I have been raising my grandson now for 6 yrs. I worry about this alot and I'm glad someone brought this subject up. Both his mother (not my daughter) and his dad (my son) are both on drugs and alcohol. The mother more so. Since she was 14 yrs old. In jail, rehab etc. When my grandson was born and really sick I thought it was from all the drugs she did. I k now now that no amount of drugs/alcohol took a part in CAH. I believe my son couldn't handle it all & gave up and turned to this. No excuse at all and I'm very disappointed in him.
My concern is is my grandson going to inheirit this from his parents????????????? I hope with me raising him that he will turn out differently. I pray every night. He has seen both parents in there worst form. Maybe that will help him to say no!! He is in the just say no to drugs club at school. (I wonder what he has said about his parents (hiding)).
