I don't know if this will be much help.  But, my children where raised in the every weekend party thing.  And about 7 years ago I met my new husband and my life style has changed drasticly.  My ex-husband is still a major drunk.  But, the good news is children adapt too.  My girls do not drink or if they do it may be a glass of wine once a year.  My son?  Has drank a little bit, but nothing that I am concerned with.  They have told me that they saw a big difference with my new husband and my new life.  And thats what they want for there children and there life.  With out the drinking and partying.  So I think because of your influence, your grandson should be okay.  Just keep talking with him and be very honest about drugs and achohol.  My children and I are very close now and talk about everything.  I love it.   I personally think that if you think children are looking into drugs and achohol.  Take them to a mental facility.  ( the drug floor)  And let them see young kids totaly gone from drugs and achohol.  My mom did that to me when I was 11.  I got so scared of drugs (not the achohol, because nobody mentioned that at all)  that when I was offered them, I would not take them.  Drugs have always terrified me.  Thank the lord for that.

GOD Bless you on raising a fine young healthy boy.
