Aimee to answer your question, yes, I have CAH, yes I had surgery, yes I was examined as child, did I hate it? YES, did  I let it ruin my life - NO. WHY should it?  Do I have good sensation - no - but I enjoy the love my husband gives me, THAT is what is important to me. There is far more to life than experiencing  an orgasm, and what you haven't experienced you don't miss. I  know a woman who has no arms, but she hasn't turned to drugs or drink, but made a life for herself, lives a normal life and makes a living by painting with her feet.  NOW that is a true visible disability and she must have suffered depression but she had the strength of character to get on with life as best as she could. She has no self - pity she says life is too short for that! She was born with no arms, she knows she doesn't have them obviously, but she says she knows no different. She has achieved so much more than most people who have arms.  I have suffered with many side effects that this condition brings, I fight to stay well, and have made an effort to do this.  I would never have turned to drink or drugs because I didn't want to be ill, or be self destructive, I was too busy keeping fit! I am sorry for your troubles Aimee and hope that you are soon on the road to recovery. I am not aiming this at you but merely stating my view, everyone has their cross in life to bear, some heavier than others, unfair, but only we can change our attitudes to how we deal with it.
Liz
