I am aware of the previous conversation regarding the way I take my meds. I believe I also outlined the same information in my post here regarding it.
For what it worth and of particular interest in the florinef issue---I just returned from a few days in the hospital due to a blood infection that resulted from a hornet sting! I was stung last Thursday (June 2) while out in my garden and while no stinger was visible afterwards, it continued to get inflammed and by Monday was horribly infected (red streaks emanating from the puncture mark). It also was right near my heart. Needless to say, I became very ill and my body trying to fight the infection put me into adrenal crisis. It also threw my heart into a severe irregular heartbeat so I got to spend the entire time hooked up to heart monitors.
Thank goodness a friend called late Monday night and recognized how incoherent I was on the phone and came over immediately as she likely saved my life although I think I probably would have called 911 at some point once the vomiting and chills hit.
Anyways, my point being is the doctor was told I had eliminated the florinef and he was fine with it. He didn't feel that it would have made a difference and was not willing to disrupt the method of dosing I have found that works for me. While I need to wean myself back down from the mega-doses of dex which were given to me via IV over the past days. He didn't seem to be much of a fan of dex---instead preferring prednisone but felt that dex was a better solution given the immediate emergency.
So, Dana, I just thought that I would share my experiences in being "non-compliant" with you and ask once again, if it works, is it still being "non-compliant?"
